For more than 18 years, Licensed Massage Therapist Tracy VanWoert has helped clients in the Jackson, Michigan area manage pain, reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and feel better in their everyday lives. As the owner of Absolute Serenity Massage and Wellness for more than five years, Tracy has built her practice around a simple belief: massage can be more than relaxation. For many people, it can be an important part of managing pain, restoring movement, and improving quality of life.
Tracy specializes in medical massage, therapeutic massage, pain management, deep tissue techniques, assisted stretching, and range-of-motion work. Her approach is especially suited for clients dealing with persistent muscle tension, chronic back and neck pain, limited mobility, headaches, sciatica-related discomfort, carpal tunnel symptoms, fibromyalgia-related muscle tension, stress and anxiety, and other conditions where targeted massage therapy may provide relief and help support better movement.
Unlike a traditional spa-style massage that may primarily focus on relaxation and lighter-pressure techniques, Tracy’s sessions are therapeutic and results-focused. She uses targeted deep tissue techniques along with stretching, assisted range-of-motion exercises, and focused work on areas of restriction and tension. Her goal is not simply to help you relax for an hour. It is to help address the areas that are contributing to discomfort and restricted movement so you can move and function more comfortably.
Her Approach to Massage
Every client is different, which is why Tracy takes the time to understand where you are experiencing discomfort and how it affects your daily life. Depending on your individual needs, a session may incorporate:
• Deep tissue and targeted therapeutic massage
• Assisted stretching
• Assisted range-of-motion techniques
• Swedish massage when appropriate
• Focused work for areas of chronic tension
• Techniques designed to support mobility and flexibility
• Massage therapy focused on pain management and functional movement
Tracy’s goal is to provide intentional, individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all massage experience.
Experience You can Trust
Tracy’s path to becoming a massage therapist began after spending 18 years working in manufacturing while raising her daughter, Shawna, as a single mother. After another manufacturing job was lost due to a plant relocation, Tracy decided it was time to take her career in a completely new direction.
She enrolled in the Medical Massage program at Blue Heron Academy in Lansing, Michigan, completing its rigorous 1,200-hour program in just one year. She also completed an externship at a local chiropractic office in Jackson, giving her valuable hands-on experience working with clients seeking therapeutic care.
That education became the foundation for more than 18 years of experience helping clients with pain, tension, mobility limitations, stress, headaches, and other concerns.
Tracy has lived in the Jackson and Rives Junction area her entire life and is proud to serve the community she has always called home.
Massage for More Than Relaxation
If chronic pain, muscle tension, restricted movement, or everyday discomfort is affecting the way you work, sleep, exercise, or simply get through your day, massage therapy may be worth exploring as part of your overall approach to pain management.
Absolute Serenity Massage and Wellness also accepts HSA/FSA payments when massage therapy is eligible under your plan and you have the required documentation, such as a doctor’s prescription or letter of medical necessity. Clients should verify their individual HSA/FSA requirements with their plan administrator before scheduling.
Outside of the massage room, Tracy enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting ceramics, playing Gin Rummy Plus and Mahjong on her phone, and relaxing at home watching her favorite television shows.
After more than 18 years in the profession, Tracy’s mission remains simple: provide therapeutic, individualized massage that helps people move better, manage discomfort, and feel better in their everyday lives.
